Innovative “Freight Farm” Improves Fresh Produce Access in Central Florida Community
AdventHealth Celebration is prioritizing nutrition and sustainability through a new innovative program. Recently, team members at the campus celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for what’s known as a “freight farm” — a hydroponic farm inside a freight-shipping container.

Evening Films Shown at CALLED Convention a Highlight for Attendees
Special film screenings were part of the program for the three evenings of the CALLED Pastors’ Family Convention held June 19-22, 2022. NAD Ministerial Association arranged to showcase Return to Palau, shown over two nights; The Book of Joshua, shown on both Sunday and Monday night; Arnion, a Sonscreen Films production based on the book of Revelation, and several student films, shown on Tuesday night; and short missional films, also shown on Tuesday.

In Canada, Alberta Invests $600,000 in Burman University as Part of Targeted Enrollment Expansion Program
The Alberta government’s targeted enrollment expansion program will invest $600,000 in Burman University over the next three years. The investment aims to support more than 88 new seats to expand enrollment in the Bachelor of Business Administration program.

G. Alexander Bryant Elected President of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America
On Wednesday afternoon, June 8, 2022, the General Conference (GC) in session voted to accept the nomination of G. Alexander Bryant as president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America. Bryant is the incumbent; he began serving in July 2020 when elected by the GC executive committee.

At the 2022 General Conference Session, NAD Secretary and Treasurer Elected to Serve New Term
During the evening business meeting at the 2022 General Conference Session in St. Louis, Missouri, North American Division (NAD) executive secretary Kyoshin Ahn and treasurer Randy Robinson were elected to their positions when the delegates voted to approve the nominating committee recommendations for all 13 division secretaries and treasurers. The two are slated to serve the 2022-2025 term.

Seventh-day Adventist Church General Conference in Session Votes to Accept Seven Names Recommended for the Positions of General Vice Presidents
On June 7, 2022, the Seventh-day Adventist Church General Conference in session voted to accept the seven names recommended to them for the positions of general vice presidents by the General Conference Session nominating committee. The seven names include five current vice-presidents, Abner De Los Santos, Geoffrey Mbwana, Thomas Lemon, and Guillermo E. Biaggi and two new names, Audrey Andersson and Maurice R. Valentine II.
